Questions we are asked most often.
Lead times, measuring, payment and maintenance, answered plainly. If your question is not here, call us on 01274 911 316.
Ordering and lead times
No. One-off orders are welcome, whether that is a single replacement window or a complete house.
We ask for a 50% deposit, with the balance due on completion.
Drawings, approximate dimensions, photographs, product types, the project location and your preferred timescale are all helpful. Contact us on 01274 911 316 for a free, no-obligation quote.
Measuring, installation and compliance
Both are available. It depends on whether your order is supply-only or supply and install. We will agree which applies before manufacturing begins.
Yes. We remove and dispose of the old windows as part of an installation.
Yes. We are registered with Certass, the competent person scheme for replacement windows and doors.
Nationwide supply is available. We install across West Yorkshire, including Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield and Harrogate. Delivery, access and installation requirements can be discussed during quotation.
Products, materials and maintenance
Yes. Our windows and doors are purpose-made to suit each opening, project specification and architectural context.
Accoya is engineered to resist rot, warping and swelling, which makes it well suited to external windows and doors. The Accoya timber is covered by a 50-year warranty from Accsys, the company that makes it, against rot and decay (25 years where the timber sits within 20cm of the ground).
On average the factory-applied finish lasts over eight years. In exposed or extreme weather locations we would expect repainting at least every five years.
No. We manufacture new windows and doors rather than repairing existing ones.
No. We make external doors only: front and entrance doors, French doors, stable doors and bi-folding doors. We do not make internal, cupboard or wardrobe doors.
Our sash and flush casement windows are traditional designs that suit many period properties and conservation areas. They are made to measure from our own standard range, so we cannot change the design to meet a conservation officer's specific requirements. Check with your local planning office before you order.
